Inspiration
Long-haul flights wreck your back, and nothing helps because there is no room, no plan, and no signal. I wanted a coach that works in the one place every other fitness app gives up: seat 23C with the Wi-Fi off.
What it does
InFlight guides you through small seated and standing movements sized for an economy seat. Choose Seated or Standing, Quick, Unhurried or Full, or Legs only. Every movement has a photograph, a written cue and a spoken coach. Set up your flight and reminders nudge you to move at your own pace, pausing for meals. An Apple Watch companion brings the guidance to your wrist. Movement photos and audio ship inside the app, so everything works in airplane mode.
How we built it
SwiftUI on iOS and watchOS, with all media bundled for offline use and session history syncing through the user's private iCloud. No accounts. Commerce runs on the RevenueCat SDK: three subscriptions and a one-time permanent unlock, with entitlements, restores and offline grace handled by RevenueCat. The purchase store and the RevenueCat wrapper are under their own test suites.
Challenges we ran into
The hard part was honest offline commerce. The moment of need is at 38,000 feet, where a purchase cannot happen. So opening InFlight offline for the first time grants one complimentary flight, free, and access established online keeps working in airplane mode.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Shipped as a first release on September 20 with the whole coaching loop usable for free (Quick Seated and Quiet Legs), clear photography for every movement, and a commerce layer tested end to end.
What's next
Per-airline flight-length presets, arrival recovery routines, and localization beyond the launch's 57 English-speaking storefronts.
