Thanks to the mentor @Rolf Kruse (big thanks to you) we have realised that our purpose of live immersive learning experience does not need AR or VR for the moment. Just 360º live video plus a 360º editor and cheap cardboard glasses for our students. Of course, in addition to regular video-conference tools, participation software, etc Live experience understood, partially, as fear of missing out (FOMO) conduct us to this, because the main driver that we want to tackle from the virus effect is the lost of live experiencing in smart city activities together with the group of students (that won’t have the possibility to travel). We will test the previous assumptions in our next planned online activity (July 2020) and see how the results are with our MSc students. Thus we will evaluate if we need to add value from the other missing techniques (AR, VR) and find support in experts that could collaborate in this field. Big thanks also to @tanmay.moharana and @ognyanova.eva for your contributions.
