Inspiration- Problem Statement

People with disabilities face lots of issues in their day to day life. They need some assistance while using public transport. This idea was aimed to help the disabled people to solve their travel accessibility issues by planning and giving them real time simulation of the journey and to solve inconvenient moments caused when there is no one around to help them.

What it does

This app provides a journey simulation. It aids a person (disabled or illiterate) during the journey by sending signals to nearest civil servants or helpful locals to help them out. So the idea was to make a simulator which will Simulate your journey before starting or when in it. The app also includes budget feature to give the user optimal travel solution.We have also added a text to speech feature for auditory assistance.

How I built it

We used python's Django framework, we used Open Weather Map API for getting information of weather, we used google maps API for accessing the current location of user. For a text to speech feature for auditory assistance we used NLP based text to speech API. We made a good presentation using animation and a simple front end.

Challenges I ran into

Making sure that the idea is feasible and is implementable, The main challenge was to make 3-d simulation using google maps API. We hadn't used any kind of APIs before, so integrating them to meet the project need was the real tough part.

Integrating Open Route Service- for navigation assistance
Focusing on Smooth UI and UX.
Shout out to local civil servants to install app to help disabled people by hosting it live.
Making a mobile app version of successful Beta model
