Inspiration

Inspired by the critical jobs of our healthcare workers.

What it does

Hospital Hub indicates the current status of hospital ICU's to determine the safety of a region. A more filled ICU capacity indicates a larger amount of covid cases in that area.

How we built it

Python was used for the back end, mern(mongodb express react node) was used for the front end and interface. The mobile app layout and potential designs were drafted on Adobe Illustrator.

Challenges we ran into

Research, setting up databases, general coding bugs, having to learn react tools and routing.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Overcoming the various challenges and achieving our goal.

What we learned

Implementation is often much harder than an idea appears on paper.

What's next for Hospital Hub

Integrate the seperate parts together - the backend algorithms, the databases, and the interface aesthetics. Furthermore, draw in additional complexity to the algorithm - take into account population density, etc.

we started at 12am on Sunday and finished at 4am the same day :)
