Insurance rates should be based on individual driver abilities. The idea was to help driver's better their driving skill by providing feedback to them.

What it does

I was able to read the OBD-2 CANBUS and get vital readings from the car computer.

How I built it

Using an Arduino Leonardo and a vga shield I was able to connect the arduino to the car computer and retrieve the data I needed. I used LabView to simulate the mathematical model for the car.

Challenges we ran into

Very hard to download and use LabView. Very hard to get the needed readings from the data wall provided by the OBD2 port.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I was able to get the hardware to communicate correctly.

What we learned

Not to go to a Hackathon without a software engineer for help.

What's next for Help Drive Go Right

Get a mobile app communicating with the devices to give legitimate feedback to the driver.
