🌆 Grove St. Undead – Meta Horizon Game Overview

💡 Inspiration

This world was born from two obsessions: the raw energy of classic GTA street life and the thrilling chaos of zombie survival. I wanted to blend that old-school block party vibe with fast-paced action something cultural, chaotic, and fun to play with friends. I added Bad Bunny, LeBron James, and Ballas gang members. I was inspired by Bad Bunny's latest concert ’cause... why was LeBron James even there?? 🤔😂

🎮 What It Does

Grove St. Undead drops you into a stylized, semi-chaotic hood overrun with 🧟 zombies. You’ve got guns, potions, and guts that’s it. The goal? Survive the infinite waves. NPCs from Grove Street chill nearby like it’s Friday night entertainment. Meanwhile, LeBron sips 🥤, Bad Bunny holds the mic 🎤, and the Ballas gang creeps in the shadows. It’s GTA nostalgia meets meme culture in a VR warzone.

🛠️ How I Built It

Started with Meta’s Chop n’ Pop template as the foundation. Layer by layer, I imported custom 3D models from Cinema 4D, Maya, and Photoshop to build a street that feels alive. Then I wired up all the systems:

🧟 Zombie spawn waves 🧪 Potion pickups 🔫 Weapon pickups ❤️ Player damage & survival logic 🌃 Scene pacing, lighting, and vibe

⚠️ Challenges I Ran Into

Importing custom assets without breaking Meta’s sensitive engine Balancing zombie spawn rates fast but fair Debugging NPC behavior and keeping their animations reactive Syncing potion effects with player logic

🏆 What I’m Proud Of

Built my third full Meta Horizon game and made it wild Took a basic template and gave it full original characters, art, and soul Created a world that feels like a playable meme with edge Got Bad Bunny and LeBron vibing in the same hood in VR Blended humor, nostalgia, and survival chaos into one fire experience

📚 What I Learned

How to build immersive gameplay in Horizon Horizon scripting, player triggers, and object pooling How to integrate Cinema 4D, Maya, and Photoshop into VR That visual storytelling can even make a zombie shooter unforgettable

🔮 What’s Next for Grove St. Undead

💯 Add scoring system + leaderboards 🎭 Animate NPCs to react to player chaos (especially LeBron & Bad Bunny) 👯‍♀️ Launch co-op mode for squad survival 🧟‍♀️ Add special zombies with unique moves 🎬 Build a sequel with missions, voiceovers, and maybe... a betrayal twist 😈

🏷️ Category: Both (🧠 Progression + 📸 Sharing)

My world “Grove St. Undead” fits the 🧠 Progression category through collectible items that impact survival like health potions 🧪 and weapons 🔫. As zombie waves intensify, players must strategize and adapt to survive the chaos.

It fits the 📸 Sharing category with immersive social zones, like the zombie-free nightclub where players can vibe, pose, and take screenshots with iconic NPCs like LeBron James 🏀 and Bad Bunny 🎤. It’s designed to be viral, photogenic, and memorable while the hood burns around you 🔥.

Grove St. Undead has evolved from a basic zombie wave template into a fully customized, GTA-inspired VR experience. I integrated original 3D models, custom lighting, and environmental pacing to build a world that feels both chaotic and immersive. The gameplay now includes health potion and weapon pickups, adding survival strategy and progression to the experience. I also introduced a social zone where players can interact, take screenshots, and hang out with NPCs like LeBron James and Bad Bunny in a zombie-free nightclub area. While some planned features like the final boss chase had to be cut due to performance issues, this version of the world balances action and atmosphere in a unique way. More updates are planned, including new zombie types, NPC animation reactions, and a possible co-op mode for group survival. Grove St. Undead is still growing, and I’m excited to keep building on it.
