Inspiration

A contributing motivator to improving a class grade is knowing where you stand in the class. Our goal for creating a grade calculator application was to simplify the process of determining a grade, therefore conserving one of the most valuable resources a student has, time.

What it does

It calculates your grade in any class.

How we built it

We decided to use Java because it is the language everyone in our group was most familiar with.

Challenges we ran into

Since we are beginners in our first semester of programming, we are not proficient in the language. Even though we have good ideas of how we wanted the program to work we had trouble translating it to Java. For example, after asking the user to input the grade and the maximum number of points possible.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Seeing that this is our first hackathon ever, we are proud of completing this task and in the process learning to create videos and sketches of our program, and uploading them in this platform.
