Inspiration
We want people to feel peace of mind while their children are travelling. Allowing parents to know the whereabouts of their kids while at airports can reduce the stress from travelling and allow for a more streamlined travel experience.
What it does
Connect people to wearables that track location of family members and luggage throughout the air travel process. People opt in to using the wristbands, which use apple tags and RFID, in conjuncture with QR codes, to monitor arrivals, departures, and luggage location at baggage claim. The app will also have map information, and show where your departures are at each airport.
How we built it
we worked in figma to mock up the app interfacing, and designed branding materials utilizing the adobe suite (namely illustrator and photoshop). we produced a mockup of the wearable components and interactive kiosks through multiple rapid fabrication techniques.
Challenges we ran into
screen sizing for kiosks, privacy and information security (who has access to the location data), what to do if phones dont have service in airport, how do we clean the bands for re-use ( we decided to use UV lights in the deposit boxes to automatically sterilize the bands).
