Inspiration
Waste management is one of the central challenges in Hajj ceremony. Furthermore, statistics are still increasing year after year because of their negative effects on the environment and health.
What it does
Our idea is to develop a waste management control system that deals with problems related to waste disposal. However, those waste resulting from the density of crowds in the holy sites.
How we built it
The project was built using a sensor to measure the distance inside the container. After processing ARDUINO and ESP8266 they will sent to the service sites on Cloud. We use API to record data and create indicators of measurement and linked to the site of control.
Challenges we run into
One of the challenges we have faced on our technology is LoRa, which is contribute to solving the problems of Internet in Hajj ceremony. However, it was not available at that moment, therefore we used Wi-Fi. In addition, we have faced difficulty of finding the required tools, lack of time and limited information related to waste.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Even though we didn't have enough time, we have created a project that consist of hardware contain electronic parts associated with the operating system.
What we learned
Through brainstorming and discussing them with an ambitious team work, we were able to come up with new creative ideas that could change the world.
What's next
Future Plan: • Without internet • Solar power • Locally made and developed • Add different type of sensor (Weather, Fair safety system, Motion sensor, Measurement of Emitted Gases)
