This project wasn't born from technology, but from family. My dog, Flor, is the "corazón" (heart) of my home. Our name, Floracore, was born from her. We believe every pet's identity deserves to be born and protected, like a flower.

The inspiration for proposing this project comes from a real, personal pain point. My mother will soon be visiting from Venezuela and wants to bring my other pet. When I started researching the procedures to facilitate that process, I ran into a bureaucratic, manual, and insecure maze.

I realized this isn't just my problem. It's a systemic one:

We rely on physical vaccination booklets that get lost, damaged, or simply forgotten.

The process for obtaining travel certificates (like the CZE from SAG in Chile) is stressful, slow, and based on physical documents prone to errors.

The entire ecosystem is vulnerable to fraud, from falsified health certificates to fraudulent pedigrees.

We aren't here just to build another app; we are on a mission to propose a solution to a broken system, for all of us who love our pets.

Our Learning (Why Polkadot) As we prepared for the DOT Americas Hackathon, we had an "Aha!" moment. We had a clear problem, but we needed the right tool. The hackathon documentation showed us why Polkadot is the perfect foundation for our vision .

Polkadot 2.0 & Agile Coretime: We learned that for an infrastructure project like ours (a Multi-Sided Platform or MSP), "Agile Coretime" is the ideal model. It will allow us to buy block time as we need it, radically optimizing costs instead of depending on a fixed, expensive slot.

The Polkadot SDK is Key: Our biggest challenge is mass adoption. Vets and owners won't use a system that forces them to buy tokens to pay gas fees. The Polkadot SDK is the solution. We learned we can build a "custom runtime" that enables "interactions without commissions or tokens". Using "prepaid execution", we can sponsor the veterinarians' transactions, removing the biggest barrier to adoption.

How We Will Build It (Our Hackathon Plan) During the hackathon, we plan to build the functional and strategic core of Floracore.

Strategic Model (The MSP): We will define and validate our Multi-Sided Platform model. To solve the "chicken-and-egg" problem, we will propose a B2B2C strategy, acquiring users through veterinarians and offering a Freemium passport to owners to quickly build the network.

Tech Stack (Polkadot): Polkadot SDK / Substrate: We will use the SDK to design the "custom runtime" that supports our business logic and, most importantly, the prepaid execution for vets.

Identity Layer (SBTs): We will develop the smart contract for a Soulbound Token (SBT). This non-transferable token will be the pet's permanent digital anchor, linked to their physical microchip number.

Credential Layer (VCs): We will implement the logic for authorities (vets, SAG, KCC) to issue cryptographically signed Verifiable Credentials (vaccines, CZE certificates, pedigrees) linked to the pet's SBT.

Focused MVP (PoC): Our goal for the hackathon is to present a functional PoC within the "Parachain Development" category , focusing on the "digital identity" vertical. We will demonstrate the key flows for the 4 main actors: the Owner, the Vet, the Government Authority (SAG), and the Breeders (KCC).

Challenges We Anticipate Complexity vs. Simplicity: Our biggest challenge will be translating the decentralized identity architecture (SBTs, VCs) into a simple UI for a busy vet or a non-technical owner.

Runtime Implementation: Getting the "prepaid execution" to work correctly will be a technical challenge, but it's fundamental to our value proposition. We are here to learn and lean on the hackathon's experts and mentors.

Focus: The pet ecosystem is huge (insurance, food). Our challenge will be to stay focused on the MVP (identity and travel) to deliver a polished and functional project by the end of the event.

Performance: We rely on Polkadot 2.0's "Async Backing" and "Elastic Scaling" to guarantee the high performance and low latency that a mass-market application needs.or behind
