Inspiration
The inspiration of our project is the alarming rate at which land is being covered by humans by buildings, thus the arising importance of roof top farming which we try to helps in by the use of drones.
What it does
The drone basically does the job of surveillance over the plants through the use of the image Sensing and the thermal sensing ability of the drones by which we try to find out the parts where water does not reach properly through drip irrigation and sprinkle water to it. It checks the plant's health and if finds any pest attack it sprays the pesticides.
How we built it
We built it using python programming and designed the drone on fusion 360.
Challenges we ran into
We faced a lot of challenges some of them were like the design of the drone to minimize the air drag and maximize the streamlined structure, another one was how to leave the battery once half of the battery is depleted and keep it on the charging station and another one was learning the coding about the drone which is a complex procedure and along with other problems.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are glad that we found a way to help farmers to increase their profit by 85% and a good way of reducing air drag through design and also doing a good amount of coding on this process.
What we learned
It was a nice learning curve for us and we learned a lot during this process we learned from basic scratch about drones, coding of drones, the working of drones, and the design of drones.
