Inspiration
There are many freelancing sites focusing for technical developers but not any for fashion designers, so that's where our idea of Fashion-peaches came from.
What it does
On Fashion-Peaches designers can showcase their designs as a post irrespective of whether they are professional, aspiring or complete beginner.
How we built it
For the design we used:-
- Figma
- Adobe Illustrator For the Front-End we used:-
- Javascript,
- ReactNative(Expo CLI),
- Context API,
- GraphQL Apollo Client For the Back-End we used:-
- TypeScript
- GraphQl Apollo server
- CockroachDb with prisma ORM
- Twilio API(for verification)
- Firebase real time database(for chat feature)
- JSON Web Tokens (JWT)
Challenges we ran into
With the new update of React Native we faced some difficulties since we used class which started to be incompatible after the new update, with that some of our teammates were completely new to React-Native and we were facing some issues while integrating the Firebase storage to store the images.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we were able to create this under the time limit and were able to resolve all the bugs that we were facing earlier Some of our teammates were completely new with react-native but they tried there best and took the stack at the last moment
What we learned
We learned how to implement CockroachDb since this was our first time using it. Learned about implementation of verification with the help of TwilioAPI
What's next for Fashion-Peaches
We would like to add a feature of rooms where user can take a post(design) and discuss about it with their friends or other designers, which will make it easier to collaborate.
