I have just finished an intense weekend of coding at Hacklanta II 2026 at Georgia State University Student Center East Building. I am incredibly excited to share the final build of my project: EventFlow Solutions.

Anyone who has ever been to a major collegiate career fair knows the chaos: endless physical lines, overwhelmed recruiters, and hours wasted standing around instead of networking. I wanted to build a system that replaces that chaos with predictive flow.

Here is how EventFlow Solutions evolved from an idea to a fully functional prototype over the last 48 hours:

The Tech Stack: • Frontend: Next.js (with Tailwind CSS for that dark-mode/neon aesthetic) • Backend: Python and FastAPI • Database: SQLite • Architecture: Full-stack, networked real-time data syncing

Core Features Implemented: The Live Queue Buffer: Replaced physical lines with a digital check-in system. The backend dynamically calculates wait times based on the active queue, bringing transparency to candidates. The 30-Second Challenge: A built-in pacing mechanism. When a recruiter pulls a candidate from the buffer, a 30-second timer ensures the elevator pitch stays focused and fair, preventing bottlenecks on the event floor.

The biggest success was getting the FastAPI backend to seamlessly stream live queue updates to the Next.js frontend across the network. There were definitely some late-night battles with CSS compilers, but seeing the whole system run end-to-end for the final video pitch made it all worth it.

I’ll be uploading the 3-minute pitch video to YouTube shortly, but for now, I'm just proud to have taken this from concept to a working prototype in one weekend.
