Evalifree

Evalifree is a website that helps youths break free from vaping, empowering them to embrace a healthier and more vibrant lifestyle through education, goal tracking, and milestones.

Inspiration

  • 3 out of 4 indonesian youth are smokers
  • Lack of regulation regarding e-cigarattes in Indonesia
  • Vaping is becoming more accepted and tolerated among youths in Indonesia

What it does

  • Track goals, motivation, progress on to help the youth quit vaping
  • Provide support system for people on their quitting journey
  • "Game-like" elements to provide a unique experience, such as achievements and leaderboard

How we built it

  • Brainstorming and Designing the wireframe
  • Coding the page using python on the backend, utilizing the flask framework
  • Polishing up the Front-end of the site

Challenges we ran into

  • Planning too much features at first
  • Difficulty fixing bugs related to tracking streaks and storing databases

Accomplishments that we're proud of

  • Successfully finished a working site
  • Combined Ideas from different people

What we learned

  • Learned Various different objects within the bootstrap framework
  • Learned more about having programs run functions that are time-sensitive

What's next for Evalifree

  • Journalling Feature to allow users to write down their feelings and understand them more clearly
  • A more sophisticated leaderboard, showing region specific leaderboards
  • Collaborating with other health companies
