Inspiration
Due to global warming, the climate conditions have become worse in past years. So, we have come to a solution by building an website by which we can connect through different NGOs or Dharmshalas or Hotels or some random people (in that particular location) who are willing to help you by providing food and shelter for some time until you find a way to get out of that problem.
What it does
Our platform is designed to provide easy access to shelter during times of crisis. With our user-friendly interface, users can quickly search for and reserve available shelter according to their current location.
How we built it
We built it with HTML, CSS and Javascript. Our team of six members contributed, as a whole.
Challenges we ran into
The Google Maps API isn't free now. It needs the expensive billing. So, we had to include the one with the free API, i.e. link.
What we learned
We have learnt how to work with a team and understanding each other more along with leadership skills, communication, new coding techniques, etc.
What's next for Escape
The future scope for Escape will be providing more facilities for people stuck in natural calamities. More help with the support of new features such as booking, contacting, etc.
