Air and water pollution remain among the most urgent challenges of our time, not only because of their direct harm to human health, but also because of the hidden “information gap” that magnifies their impact. The core issue is not just pollution itself, but the fact that millions of people—especially in rural and low-income regions—lack timely, accurate data about the quality of the air they breathe and the water they drink. While urban residents can often check AQI or water data on their smartphones, vast populations remain in the dark, unaware of invisible risks until minor problems escalate into large-scale crises. According to the WHO, around seven million people die prematurely every year from pollution-related causes, with over 90% of these deaths occurring in low- and middle-income countries. The financial burden is equally devastating, with global losses estimated at 4–5% of GDP annually. Addressing this challenge is significant because without closing the data gap, both health and economic damages will continue to grow. It is also difficult because it requires not only advanced monitoring technology but also equitable, open access to information.

EnviroX is an environmental intelligence platform designed to close the dangerous gap between pollution and public awareness. Today, millions of people—especially in rural and low-income areas—do not have real-time access to air and water quality data, leaving them vulnerable to invisible risks that can escalate into public health crises. With seven million premature deaths annually linked to pollution and global economic losses of 4–5% of GDP, this challenge is both urgent and far-reaching.
EnviroX tackles this problem by integrating multi-source environmental data—including authoritative agency reports, satellite remote sensing, and future sensor networks—into a single open-access platform. This platform can extract the climate parameters from authoritative agencies. And based on that extend the basic data gradually. Artificial intelligence can process, articfical intelligence can perform trend forecasting, data analysis, and the predict of the climate. Take complex environment crisis to clear message and signal. Overall, individuals and community can realize the potential crisis, and take situation to protect themselves. Ultimately, EnviroX is not just a technical framework, but a new paradigm of environmental intelligence. The potential impact of EnviroX extend through human health, economic stability, and environmental governance. It will maybe avoid plenty pf premature death because air and water pollution, especially in low and middle income countries where data access is weak. It will give plenty of individuals and communities to know about the environment condition. Economically, it will reducing the health problems of pollution, and can save billions of dollars annually. Also for government side of this platform, it can help local government decrease the complex of finding data, to enable more efficient allocation of resources and evidence-based policies making. It will significance that artificial intelligence is helping people avoid the diaster of pollution, to lies in transforming environmental awareness into a universal right, creating healthier communities and more efficient societies.
- Design Process and Collaboration: What were some challenges you faced over the course of the hackathon? How did you overcome those challenges? What did you learn about the design process? How did your team delegate tasks, resolve conflicts, and communicate with each in order to work together most effectively?
Initially, we underestimated the project, thinking it was too simple and overcomplicating the requirements. However, after reflection, we recognized its significant value and practical relevance. During development, we faced UI design challenges that were difficult to implement independently, but resolved them through research and reference gathering. API integration presented another obstacle when received files failed to parse correctly—a problem we overcame by carefully reviewing and debugging the code. We also encountered difficulties with JSON file transfers and cloud server deployment during debugging, which were ultimately resolved through extensive research and self-study. Throughout these challenges, teamwork played an essential role in pushing beyond our comfort zones and achieving success. This competition was not only a test of technical skill, but also a valuable lesson in collaboration, self-discovery, and the pursuit of knowledge. We sincerely thank the teachers and organizers for providing us with this opportunity to grow and strive together.

Nowadays, the research of environmental science is extremely strong. However, most of individuals and communities don’t have cognition of environment and don’t realize how harmful will pollution made to their bodies. There have a communicate loss, so our platform aim to break this loss. And give a easily way to the individuals and communities don’t realize that. The hidden environmental costs will be acknowledged. We will use artificial intelligence to analyze the data and the future trend. In the future, we also plan to build a hardware network to increase the accuracy of this platform. EnviroX will use huge-scale of data from internet, and then output to a clear and visualization. So if we keep this cycle, we will accomplish a strong system to help plenty of people. We hope when we deploy the hardware network, can use plenty of cheap sensors, will keep the low costs, because although there are plenty of complex data, we will use artificial intelligence to solve, to keep maximize efficient and minimize cost.
