Inspiration
Independent musicians plan tours on gut feeling and spreadsheets. We wanted one artist name to turn into a tour that follows where the fans actually are.
What it does
Encore turns one artist name into a bookable tour plan. It uses Qloo's taste graph to rank cities by fan affinity, then builds a stop-by-stop playbook: live music venues, co-bill artists, and cross-domain local fits (podcasts and brands), each with an explainable reason. An agent layer can reshape the route from natural-language constraints, while deterministic routing (nearest-neighbor + 2-opt) keeps the itinerary geographically sane.
How it's Qloo-powered
- Artist search and similar artists via Qloo search and insights
- Destination ranking with popularity filters
- Per-city live-music venue tags, local artists, podcasts and brands
- Qloo explainability mapped into on-card "why" reasons
- Without Qloo, the affinity ranking and playbooks would not exist
How we built it
Next.js 15 and TypeScript on Vercel, the Qloo Hackathon API, MiniMax for optional natural-language reasons with a template fallback, Leaflet with OpenStreetMap, and Zod for validation.
Challenges we ran into
We scaffolded in mock mode until the hackathon API key arrived, then tuned venue tagging, city popularity filters and routing after the first live routes zigzagged across the country.
What's next
Shareable plan links, a short demo video, and tighter venue tagging.
