Inspiration
3r(reduce, reuse, recycle) is a classic waste management approach that aims to minimize waste by encouraging people to reduce their consumption, reuse items whenever possible, and recycle materials that cannot be reused.
What it does
A waste management app could be used to help individuals, businesses, and organizations better manage their waste and promote more sustainable practices. Some possible features of a waste management app could include:
Tracking waste: Users could enter data on the waste they generate, such as the type and quantity of waste, to get a better understanding of their waste streams and identify areas where they can reduce waste.
Providing information on recycling and composting: The app could provide users with information on what can and cannot be recycled or composted in their area, as well as the locations of nearby recycling and composting facilities.
How we built it
we bulit on a development platform our app, such as native iOS or Android, or a cross-platform framework like Flutter.
Challenges we ran into
There are several challenges that you might face when building a waste management app, including: Ensuring accuracy of information Designing for usability Integrating with existing waste management systems Dealing with large amounts of data
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Development of new recycling technologies
What we learned
The importance of accurate and up-to-date information The need for user-friendly designs
