Inspiration
I was focusing on thinking about practical solutions of greenhouse gas pollution that could happen right away. Then the first thing that I found was research about electric cars and was inspired to design a project on this topic. Because the idea is based on the car rental system, I was mostly inspired by Zipcar's car renting system.
What it does
The app provides a list of electric rides with different sizes and colors where people can see which one will fit their preference the best. It is for any age since the app has options of kickboard to SUV cars. It provides the location page to find the car and drive history to see which car they used before. After driving the car, the app will count down the hours to show your achievement in helping out reducing greenhouse gases. Also, the number of rides will give a chance to donate a tree by their name, encouraging them to use EV more often.
How we built it
Because I don't have coding experience, I heavily relied on the Figma tool. Trying out the different compositions in Figma, I tried to build the most comfortable setting for anyone since my target for the app is every range of age.
Challenges we ran into
I think the challenge I went through was considering if this prototype consumes a good amount of information so the audience can use the app with ease.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I never really got a chance to explore the area of UX design, so experimenting with the Figma tool was enjoyable. I felt like I learned a lot from participating in the hackathon.
What we learned
I learned that coming up with an idea that could satisfy/fulfill everyone's needs is a difficult job to do. I hope I could experience more and learn how to overcome the hardship better.
What's next for ECO-RIDERS
I think the next step for this project will be develop the idea into more sturdy form which will enable me to add some more details so this project could actually work in real life, giving on impact/effect to both people and environment.
