A smart wearable watch for delivery workers integrates real-time health monitoring, automatic emergency alerts, and optimized route guidance, enhancing safety, efficiency, and well-being. It supports stress reduction, encourages breaks, and ensures a healthier, more manageable work experience. Ensuring accurate health monitoring, reliable emergency alerts, effective route optimization, and balancing battery life with multiple features like GPS and health sensors were key challenges in designing this wearable solution. The idea was inspired by the challenges delivery workers face daily long hours, safety concerns, and the physical toll of constant travel. Observing the potential for wearable technology to address these needs, we wanted to create a solution that would empower delivery workers by prioritizing health, safety, and efficiency, improving their experience in the gig economy. We learned the importance of user-centered design, balancing features with simplicity, and how wearable tech can leverage health data to enhance safety, mitigate fatigue, and support user well-being. We began by analyzing delivery workers' challenges, designing a smartwatch prototype with health monitoring, GPS, and emergency alerts, then refined features through testing and user feedback for improved functionality.
