Engineering Update — What Makes DemandOS Work
1. Real Purchase Intent, Not Predictions
Instead of guessing demand from browsing behavior, we capture buyer-defined price limits and conditional purchase commitments. Merchants can see exactly how many customers are eligible at each price.
2. Profit-Aware Matching Engine
Our engine evaluates inventory by color, payment fees, minimum margins, and potential full-price cannibalization. A $180 bag with 24 eligible buyers at $140 can become a 12-unit private release worth $1,680 in potential revenue.
3. AI Recommendations With Deterministic Guardrails
AI agents propose pricing and release quantities, but every recommendation is independently validated against actual inventory, buyer authorization, and profitability constraints. No black-box pricing decisions.
4. Human-in-the-Loop Commerce
The merchant makes the final decision. Only approved offers move into matching and the supported transaction flow, without changing public retail prices.
The key idea: we're not building another AI shopping assistant. We're building a new way for buyers and merchants to agree on a price and actually make the sale.
Figures reflect our seeded demo scenario.
