Inspiration
Knowing that NY is the worst state, I wanted to know how one county compares to the others.
What it does
Shows US counties cases per capita.
How I built it
JavaScript code calls existing APIs and renders a map.
Challenges I ran into
New York Times joins 5 counties to form New York City. So we can't break down this data.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Reached out to a person building APIs, and asked him to make a change for me. He's done this and I look forward to using his API now.
What I learned
I learned several things, like a CSS Grid thing. All my resources are credited in the project README.
What's next for covid-19 region map per capita
Supporting other countries.
