I have lots of experience working in health care, with national laboratories, and non profits. THere is a lot of technology and information that is available to apply to the management of COVID-19 and other outbreaks.
What it does
Combines existing technologies and platforms to increase testing capacity and perform biosurveillance.
How I built it
Existing systems, libraries and tools that we all have access to. A part of this effort will be to work with existing organizations already established in the field of public health.
Challenges I ran into
The biggest challenge is getting people coordinated and on the same page.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I built the first biosurveillance capability in Washington State back in the day.
What I learned
The technology part is easy for me. It's everything else that is hard. Also difficult is making sure we don't duplicate work that is already being done.
