How we built it
I used the below tools:
- VS Code Editor
- Javascript for backend
- CSS/HTML for styling
- OpenWeatherAPI integration
- Node.js connecting backend and frontend
- Restrained and Restricted use of ChatGPT 4o, Base44 Free Version, and Gemini 2.5 Flash.
Challenges we ran into
- Connecting the front and backend took a while because I hadn't updated some of my dependencies.
- Wifi in the learning commons wasn't the best so I had to move around a lot during the Hacking Time.
- Environment setup
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Making a fully functional prototype to show to the judges.
- Making an appealing layout.
- The vision in my mind coming to life in front of me!
What we learned
- To install all dependencies before starting full development cycle
- Watch a few more courses and apply skills with full-stack development
- HACKATHONS ARE FUN!! I met a lot of new people!
What's next for Untitled
- Finetuning and improved instructions for Gemini 2.5 API
- Add Voice functionality to the Assistant Page (Voice recognition and transcription APIs costed money so we avoided for MountainHouse Hacks)
- Use google maps API to provide a better visuals in the map graphics.
