Inspiration
I got inspiration from Amazon and Daraz. When I looked at these giant marketplaces, I thought that we can also offer online shopping by initially making a mobile app. Also, I read bad reviews on Daraz that many sellers do not send what the buyer orders. Also, Daraz has a very slow delivery. They usually take more than a week or more than 10 days to deliver orders. And we are delivering orders without any sellers like we are manually picking, packing, and shipping orders that's why we can resolve these issues.
What it does
It's an online shopping app that offers to buy multiple items. It's not stuck in some specific category. There are many products to which customers can select. It also provides Whatsapp, Call, and Email support to its users. It provides a hassle-free online shopping experience.
How we built it
The app was developed by using Flutter, Firebase, and Adobe illustrator. The front-end is made with Flutter, the backend is made with Firebase, and the graphics that are used in the app are made in Adobe illustrator.
Challenges we ran into
There were many challenges that we faced while developing this app. These were about getting products from Firebase, User Authentication, managing products, etc. Also, we faced shipping challenges like deciding on packing material and courier partner.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud that we are offering online shopping in Pakistan by resolving the issues that Daraz has. Also, We are proud that all the things regarding the app are in our hands. If something bad occurs, we can take action immediately.
What we learned
While developing this app, there were many things that we faced and learned well from that. I personally learned greatly about development. Also from a business perspective, we learned about the customer mind and are still learning.
What's next for ClickAway - Online Shopping App
Next for ClickAway is targeting iOS and Web Platforms. As the application is in Flutter, that's why I think that it will be easy to target these platforms. Also, in Pakistan, the women feel shy to talk to sellers or some don't want to talk. We are also working on this so that women can easily buy products without any difficulty. Also, we are focusing on the app's security so that data cannot breach.
