Cinema Commander is now live!
Cinema Commander has evolved from an initial concept into a working AI production intelligence control tower for the Agentic Cinema: The Blockbuster Hackathon.
The current workflow takes a film production brief and coordinates six specialized agents:
Production Planner → Research Scout → Production Intelligence → Risk Officer → Schedule Agent → Greenlight Director
The system now:
• Structures a filmmaker's production brief • Uses Parallel Search for live production research • Converts research into actionable production intelligence • Identifies and assesses production risks • Evaluates schedule feasibility • Produces an evidence-backed production decision • Maintains an execution trace of the workflow
The decision engine supports three operational outcomes:
PRODUCTION GREENLIGHT — Ready to Proceed CONDITIONAL GREENLIGHT — Proceed After Mitigation PRODUCTION BLOCKED — Do Not Proceed
The live demonstration currently shows a PRODUCTION GREENLIGHT with 87% confidence for the sample night waterfront production scenario.
Technology
Cinema Commander combines Google Gemini, Google ADK, Google Cloud / Vertex AI, and Parallel Search API, with FastAPI, SSE, deterministic risk and scheduling engines, and a production control-tower interface.
A key design principle is:
AI reasons. Deterministic services verify.
The goal is to move beyond generic AI responses and demonstrate how agentic AI can support real production decisions with research, operational reasoning, risk assessment, scheduling, and an auditable decision trail.
