Inspiration

Pandemic has driven consultants, trainers, schools to go online ,unable to do seminars due to Covid. Solution is create challenges to engage clients or students to join . There are many benefits to participate.

What it does

Setup challenges thru app that connects to people of same interests. Participants may join a challenge by submitting videos or pictures after he completes the challenge. For example Fitness challenge for golfers guided by a coach . Or class reunion video call javascript app for developers , or 1k marathon challenge for students. engage with them in a video call. Run challenges simultaneously .

How we built it

This project is built with, ReactJS, wordpress api, dolby.io with firebase. built the app to handle list of challenges and to engage communication between like minded people . .create challenge models with custom fields in WordPress .Fetched and Submit challenges with API.

Challenges we ran into

Learning curve of understanding Dolby.io API as integrating with the Challenge app ,and showing challenges from database posts to the Challenge app . It was also considered to use Airtable as backend for challenges if performance is better. Ability to add more challenges. Fixing Page not found error on netlify.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Using backend Api for showing challenges, then installing on netlify challenge app featuring Dolby.io communication Api. Setting up wordpress as backend Api on Azure and getting both online. Fixing page not exist error on netlify

What we learned

we learned to build an app with live video conference .learned the Dolby communications Api platform.
