Inspiration

I'm inspired by other monthly care packages that appeal to other audiences. Honestly, I had been reading about inspiring cats in history and saw this as a way to highlight some of them. Such as the first cat in space. This is my second Hackathon and I'm sort of a Designer and Web Developer so I'd like to keep trying to improve my craft!

What it does

The prototype is a simple webpage with a loading animation now, but it can be much more in the future! The idea behind the project was to simulate a brand that would give you and your cat cool stuff every month, that way it isn't just your kitty getting all the attention.

How we built it

I spent a bit of time researching historical cats, logo design, web design inspiration, and established a brand identity. After this, I wrote up a quick wireframe based on how I would want my User Flow to go and went to work in Figma! It was a lot of visual tweaking and using a 12-column system.

Challenges we ran into

I always wish I had more time, I could have prototyped the entire website, and even made an App mockup. I need to improve in my coding ability to be able to pull this off with the given time!

Accomplishments that we're proud of

This is my second hackathon! Despite taking this on solo, I love the result! It's fun, and I enjoy the way the branding came out. :)

What we learned

I learned a great deal in how to optimize my creative workflow in order to get results faster! Branding takes a while!

What's next for CATBOX

I want to make this a full website in WEBFLOW :) Then maybe get onto making a Mobile app.
