About the Project CareSync is an AI-powered healthcare platform designed to enhance patient care by providing easy access to medical information, medication reminders, and location-based clinic suggestions. The inspiration for this project stemmed from the increasing complexity of managing healthcare, particularly for elderly patients or those with chronic conditions. Our goal was to make healthcare management more efficient, proactive, and accessible through a user-friendly digital solution.

Inspiration As the healthcare industry continues to evolve, we identified the need for a streamlined platform that integrates various aspects of healthcare into one place. We wanted to provide users with easy access to their medication schedules, symptom tracking, and a way to locate clinics near them for a more holistic healthcare experience.

How I Built the Project To develop CareSync, we utilized several cutting-edge technologies:

Frontend: React.js powered the dynamic user interface, while Material UI provided the design components to make the application visually appealing.

Backend: The backend was built using Node.js for seamless handling of requests and real-time interactions.

Map Integration: For clinic location mapping, we used OpenStreetMap API to show nearby clinics based on the user's location.

Deployment: The project was hosted on Vercel, ensuring a fast and reliable deployment pipeline.

Challenges Faced One of the biggest challenges we faced was ensuring seamless communication between the front-end and back-end, particularly in handling user inputs and displaying the correct data for medication and clinic locations. Optimizing the user interface for easy navigation across various user types was also a critical challenge, as we wanted to ensure accessibility for all users, including elderly ones.
