Inspiration We wanted to reduce unnecessary ER visits by helping patients understand symptom urgency and reach the right clinic faster.
What it does CarePilot uses AI to triage symptoms, find nearby clinics, and automate appointment booking through a live phone call flow.
How we built it We built it with Next.js, TypeScript, Claude, Twilio, OpenStreetMap, and optional ElevenLabs TTS.
Challenges we ran into We had to debug Twilio webhooks, live call flow reliability, API limits, and fallback behavior when external services failed.
Accomplishments that we're proud of We built a full end-to-end flow: triage, body heatmap, clinic search, live call transcript, and confirmation.
What we learned We learned that reliability, safety, and fallback handling matter just as much as the AI itself.
What's next for CarePilot Next, we want to add real persistence, smarter booking, broader clinic coverage, and stronger production readiness.
