Project Update: Scaling CareBuddy AI for Global Impact

We are thrilled to share the latest progress on CareBuddy AI—a localized, zero-cost medical and nursing guidance platform powered by the Google Gemini API. What started as a lightweight prototype has evolved into an AI-native healthcare dashboard built to democratize primary triage in regional languages (Bengali).

What’s New in CareBuddy AI

  • Gemini API Triage Engine: Refined system prompts for real-time Bengali medical intent classification, emergency prioritization, and nursing care advice.
  • Interactive Health Tools: Integrated dynamic BMI/BMR calculators directly into the Streamlit interface.
  • Monetization Framework: Built an AdSense placeholder architecture alongside micro-transaction capabilities to keep the service 100% free for end users.
  • Mobile-First Infrastructure: Built, compiled, and deployed using Acode and Pydroid 3 on serverless architecture.

Technical Milestone: Core Gemini Triage Prompt

Here is a snippet of the intent-routing logic powering our Gemini integration:

import google.generativeai as genai

def generate_health_guidance(user_query: str) -> str:
    system_instruction = (
        "You are CareBuddy AI, a supportive nursing assistant. "
        "Provide emergency triage, clear first-aid advice, and empathetic guidance "
        "in plain Bengali. Always recommend professional clinical care for severe symptoms."
    )
    model = genai.
