CaloriBank launched on August 19. Since then it has had four major updates, every one of them out of feedback from someone outside the project.
0.2 Drink Counter — a public health nurse asked for it. It shipped in a day and was field-tested the next evening at a work dinner with occupational-health professionals.
0.3 Apple Health — steps, weight and blood pressure arrive on their own. Weekly and current-period reports came out from behind the paywall in the same release, because looking back at your own week turned out to be part of the basics rather than a luxury.
0.4 Compare with AI — two foods, one clear difference. Three smaller releases followed inside 0.4, including the Korean localisation and the Google Play production launch.
0.5 Notebook UI — the whole app redrawn as paper, stickers and graph paper, with a book-style onboarding.
This week I rewrote this submission from top to bottom so that it describes the app that exists now rather than the one I submitted in August, and recut the demo to 1:50.
One correction I had to make to my own page while doing it: I had written "five major updates". Checking the release history, it is four. The Korean localisation was 0.4.3 — a point release inside 0.4, not a milestone of its own.
