We were inspired by stories of close friends and family members. This aimed was specifically aimed to bring awareness of those in toxic situations. These toxic situations are most common throughout ethnic households as its so normalized.

What it does

Our app is built as a story game in order to bring awareness to the different situations certain individuals go through and educate those who don't about what goes on. This story game approach helps people empathize and understand

We built our app through xCode and coded it in Swift.

Challenges we ran into

Some challenges we ran into was trying to figure out how to make the type on text effect. The effect was difficult to understand at first but after watching SEVERAL tutorials, we finally figured it out

Accomplishments that we're proud of

One accomplishment we are proud of is setting up the app icon. We know it may be very small in the scope of things, but honestly we couldn't get it to work at ALL in the beginning so it was very cathartic when we got it working.

What we learned

In this project we learned how to achieve the type on text effect, how to add sound to labels, and how to unwind segues. These are some of the most satisfying things to do

What's next for Breakdown

For Breakdown, we plan to add two more things: adding more storylines and adding more characters. We plan to incorporate avatars that struggle with different mental illnesses.
