Inspiration
Homelessness can affect people from all walks of life. People become homeless for a variety of complex reasons. Our platform helps families and individuals "Bounce Back" from tragedy, get back on their feet and continue to be productive members of society.
Reasons for homelessness may include:
- Job or Income Loss
- Family Breakup
- Eviction or Rent Increase
- Illness, Mental Health or Substance Abuse
- Lack of Affordable Housing
What we do
Our platform aggregates all the resources for poverty prevention and mental health in the City of New York. We then allow users to up-vote and down-vote resources and leave reviews on their experiences. Additionally, since accessibility to communications can sometimes be an issue, we allow user to place VoIP calls to city resources directly inside of the browser.
