An empty shop hurts the whole street. The people paid to fill it know how many people walk past. They do not know what those people love. Blockfit tells them.

What it does. Built for the vacancy team of a business improvement district. Type in the address of an empty unit. Blockfit returns:

  • the kinds of shop the block's own audience loves but the block lacks, ranked by a Gap score
  • a brand of the top kind to court
  • a one-page flyer for the unit
  • an email to the landlord that names the brand and gives the reason

An audience Lens (Anyone, 25-34, 45+) changes the answer in place. Every claim links to the Qloo call behind it.

Why Qloo. Footfall says how many. Qloo says what they love. Blockfit takes the block's anchor venues, asks Qloo what their audiences love across the city, and compares that with what is typical for the city. That is demand. Qloo's place data counts what is already on the block. That is supply. The difference is the gap.

Qloo's cross-category graph then turns the block's taste into brands, and shows which venues on the block each brand's fans favour. That is the proof the email puts in front of the landlord.

Switch Qloo off and the report shrinks to a venue count and three stock suggestions. Every report has that switch.

An agent that argues with itself. An agent drives the Qloo tools. Before it keeps a gap, it tries to knock it down. Does the shop fit the unit's floor area? Is the demand just city-wide popularity? Is a strong rival just outside the radius? Each test shows in the report, kept or dropped, with the reason. A checker matches every number and name in the email against the evidence before you see it.

Live result. On 1600 S Congress Ave in Austin, Gastropub came out on top: WANTED, Gap score 94, none within 800 m. It survived two attempts to rule it out. The report rated its own confidence low, from 29 known venues, and said so. No gastropub brand qualified, so the email named none. Blockfit does not invent a fit. See the live report.

Taste fit is a signal, not a forecast of rent, sales or footfall.

What is next. Scan a whole street of vacancies at once. Pull units from listing feeds. Track which emails get a reply. Add a version for owners pitching a tenant directly.
