Inspiration

The love of playing long term strategy games. TheBlockchain.Land will be a fun way for people to play a long term trading game, a Play2Earn&Learn game that has resource management and land development features, and opportunities to explore for new lands. Millions of people, maybe billions love playing games with others, and games like Settlers of Catan and Ages of Empires have loyal fan bases.

What it does

Our Proof on Concept and v1 of TheBlockchain.Land leverages existing Globiance DEX for trading resources like WOOD, ROCK, CLAY, FISH, and WOOL. We are finishing up some smart contracts for minting in game assets(NFTs) using these resource tokens, and working on wallet connections on the game dashboard in coming update.

How we built it

Hand drawn maps, each map is and will be hand drawn for complete originality and have a unique amount of ecological resources available. TheBlockchain.Land 0x0y is the starting Map of and has 1500 PLOTS TOTAL, made up of 891 WATER, 45 SAND, 235 PRAIRIE, 112HILLS, 19 MOUNTAINS, and 198 FOREST. Each Map in TheBlockchain.Land is 16 sections, a 4x4 grid made up of A1 ( https://theblockchain.land/0x0y-A1/ )-4, B1-4, C1-4, and D1-4. These maps where drawn during the XDC dApp Summer Hackathon.

During this Hackathon we did:

Hand drawn resources, each resource was created from scratch and hand drawn for the game. During this hackathon we designed and created unique artwork for each XRC20 Resource Token, WOOD, ROCK, CLAY, WOOL, and FISH. Added liquidity to Globiance Pools. And submitted our Resource Tokens information and token logos to https://github.com/Globiance/default-token-list/issues

Hand drawn characters, each character is uniquely hand drawn with attributes that effect game play. During this hackathon we designed and created unique artwork for the starting Character NFTs, and their attributes. In future every Character will be hand drawn by artists to give Character NFTs originality and uniqueness.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A lot of thought is going into the creation of our game assets, and the smart contracts for game play. Our game will provide artists with revenue opportunities since all of our future characters and game items will be hand drawn. Our game will teach people financial literacy and other skills in a fun and exciting way.

What we learned

That we really want to be part of Globiance's Launchpad :) and need help to bring this game to market.

What's next for TheBlockchain.Land Game

Create and mint game contracts for staking Character NFTs to do work on LandTitle NFTs for Resource Tokens, and for burning Token Resources to create in-game items(NFTs) like tools, buildings, and ships.

Next Steps

Creating the smart contracts for Character NFTs to interact with LandTitle NFTs to produce Resource Tokens based on the Attributes(IPFS metadata) of the Character NFT and the Attributes(IPFS metadata) of the LandTitle NFT.

For example, if you are using a Pioneer to do labor verse a Aristocrat, a Pioneer would generate more Resource Tokens than a Aristocrat doing the same labor job. And to continue on this, if you are for example chopping WOOD your Character NFT would generate more WOOD Tokens doing the job on a LandTitle NFT that has more Forest tiles verse another LandTitle NFT with less Forest tiles.

Mint Cabin NFT = [Burn Lumber NFTs + Nails NFTs] + be Holding Hammer & Saw NFT + Character NFT.

Mint Barn NFT = [Burn Lumber NFTs + Nails NFTs] + be Holding Hammer & Saw NFT + Character NFT.

Mint Ship NFT = [Burn Lumber NFTs + Nails NFTs + Cloth NFTs + Rope NFTs] + be Holding Hammer & Saw NFT + Character NFT. (Ship NFTs are how you can discover and explore new Lands beyond 0x0y)

Mint New Character NFT = Stake male Character NFT + female Character NFT + Burn # of FISH (FISH depositor gets the newly minted Character NFT).
