Inspiration

The theme is Lost & Found. The idea came from how easily meaningful moments, ideas, and connections get lost in today’s fast-paced digital world. We were inspired to reimagine “lost” not as gone, but as waiting to be rediscovered—like fragments drifting in space. The concept of a digital cosmos allowed us to visualize memory and connection in a more emotional and immersive way, rather than just functional storage.

What it does

Lost & Found is a digital platform that lets users store ideas, memories, and connections as “fragments” in a cosmic space. These fragments drift and resurface over time, helping users rediscover meaningful moments, reconnect with people, and reflect on their personal journey through an interactive and visually engaging interface.

How I built it

I designed the interface in Figma using a space-inspired UI with glassmorphism, glowing elements, and interactive components. The system was structured around reusable components like memory cards, floating nodes, and connection graphs. Prototyping features like hover effects, transitions, and navigation were used to simulate an immersive experience.

Challenges I ran into

One major challenge was translating an abstract concept like “lost memories in space” into a usable interface. Balancing creativity with usability was difficult, especially ensuring the design remained intuitive while still feeling immersive. Managing visual complexity without overwhelming the user was another key challenge.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I’m proud of turning an emotional, abstract theme into a structured digital experience. The cosmic visualization of memories and connections stands out, and the design successfully combines storytelling with functionality in a unique way.

What I learned

I learned how to design beyond traditional interfaces and think more conceptually. This project improved my ability to balance aesthetics with usability and strengthened my skills in prototyping, user experience design, and storytelling through UI.

What's next for Lost & Found

Next, I plan to integrate AI-driven rediscovery features that surface relevant memories based on behavior and time. Expanding this into a fully functional web app with real-time interactions and personalization would be the next step.
