Inspiration

Pre-existing flight attendant uniforms and knowing people in the industry.

What it does

Improves the flight experience of a flight attendant and allows for clearer communication with passenger and staff.

How we built it

Designed our accessible air wear in Clo3D and illustrator to allow adaptability with the design of our garment. The Button is then used as communication device to better allow a relationship between passenger and crew. The button and application were programmed in CPP programming based.

Challenges we ran into

Time constraints, getting materials such as fabrics, creative differences, generally minimal knowledge of aeronautics.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Completing a successful code and physical prototype. Design and pattern making four garments for a full look. Considering sustainability, Ethics, and general moral code when design our accessible clothing. Collaborating on a project that was very important to all of us that we also felt was an important prompt.

What we learned

not taking on more than what we can handle, being realistic, and balancing work, life, and creative endeavors. How to be open with each other when conflict arose, to really come together and remember our final goal of creating a successful capstone company.

What's next for AirWear

Continue our ideas and flesh out ideas what we didn't have time. To complete under the limit restriction. As a team we are open to taking this further and seeing where this important idea of considering the comfortability of flight crew and safety of passengers as a brand ethos will take us.
