Aggie IX Pitch
Inspiration
Based on the user study we conducted, many people find it hard to locate the best spots on campus and learn about Aggie traditions.
What it does
Aggie IX is a mobile app designed to help Texas A&M students navigate the large campus with ease, discover and learn about Aggie traditions, and find top-rated locations like study spots, quiet areas, and bathrooms, all based on real student reviews. The app makes campus life easier by helping Aggies find what they need, when they need it, and feel more at home at Texas A&M.
How we built it
We started with simple wireframes using Figma, after sketching out the layout design, we worked on brand packaging and started working on our high fidelity prototype. Meanwhile, we started creating assets (logos, loading animations, graphics) for our app. Lastly, we added animations through “prototype” in Figma, and compile everything into a presentation.
Challenges we ran into
One challenge we ran into was setting our app apart from apps like Google Maps. To face this challenge, we received a lot of feedback and included features such as traditions and AR navigation to set it apart from competition.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Finishing a high fidelity app in 14 hours.
What we learned
We became better at time management, Figma skills, and layout design.
What's next for Aggie IX
Improving the app to make all features fully functional and continuing to test and improve the user experience.
