🔥 Inspiration
Campus life is invisible. A student misses a hackathon happening 200 meters away because it was announced in a WhatsApp group they forgot they joined. A club head spends her Sunday night manually tracking RSVPs on a Google Sheet instead of actually preparing. A college dean has no idea why event attendance collapsed last semester.
We lived this. We watched it happen around us. And we realized the problem wasn't apathy — it was infrastructure. No one had built the connective tissue between students, clubs, and institutions. So we decided to build it.
⚙️ What It Does
Zynvo is the behavioral layer for campus life — think of it as the operating system that makes campus activity inevitable, trackable, and rewarding.
For students: a single personalized feed of everything happening on campus — events, clubs, opportunities — curated to what actually matters to them.
For clubs: a full operations platform to create events, manage registrations, run check-ins, and measure impact — replacing WhatsApp chaos and Google Forms.
For colleges: a live data layer showing participation trends, club health, and engagement analytics that administrators have never had before.
We're not a calendar. We're not a chat app. We're the engine that connects all three stakeholders in one loop.
🛠️ How We Built It
We started with the core loop — the 6-step flywheel from event creation to repeat participation — and built every feature to serve that loop. Our stack is designed for speed and scale across campuses, with a personalization engine at the feed layer, a lightweight club dashboard for operations, and an analytics backend for institutional reporting. We kept the product ruthlessly focused: every feature had to either accelerate the loop or die on the cutting room floor.
😤 Challenges We Ran Into
The hardest problem was the cold start on both sides. Clubs won't create events if students aren't there. Students won't open the app if clubs aren't posting. We had to solve this chicken-and-egg problem campus by campus, which meant we had to go deep before we could go wide. Convincing club heads to change their workflow — even to something better — required real relationship-building, not just a product demo. We also had to resist the temptation to become a chat app or a calendar, because that's what everyone assumed we should build.
🏆 Accomplishments We're Proud Of
We built a system where the three stakeholders — students, clubs, and colleges — are genuinely interdependent on the platform. That's rare. Most edtech tools serve one stakeholder and ignore the others. We also hit our core loop metrics early: check-in rates above 70% of registrations on pilot events, and week-over-week repeat usage above 60%. These aren't vanity numbers — they're proof the loop is working.
📚 What We Learned
That the real product is behavior change, not the app. Getting a club to move off WhatsApp is harder than building any feature. The students who adopted earliest weren't the most social — they were the ones who felt they were missing out and had no way to fix it. Distribution on campus is word-of-mouth first, always. And the data that colleges want most isn't attendance counts — it's why students showed up (or didn't).
🚀 What's Next for Zynvo Social
Three things:
Scale the campus loop — expand from pilot campuses to 20+ institutions, using the playbook we've validated.
Launch the student profile layer — the pre-LinkedIn record of a student's campus journey: events attended, clubs led, skills demonstrated. This is the long-term moat that makes Zynvo sticky beyond graduation.
Open the B2B channel — sell institutional dashboards and analytics to college administrations, turning our free product into a sustainable revenue model.
LinkedIn captures who you became. Zynvo captures how you got there. That story is just beginning.
