Inspiration
We noticed that there were many issues and complaints students and community members had with ASB, school counselors and school administration in general. We wanted to create something that would allow people to create formal complaints in a formal way that is accesible to the public.
What it does
Students can submit formal complaints, which will then be voted by popularity by other students and therefore allowing the community to push the more important issues to the forefront of the administration's view or focus.
How we built it
We built the website using React Js, minimal Tailwind, PHP, Mysql, Apache, Xampp.
Challenges we ran into
We struggled to build a cohesive and coherent backend that provided full functionality. While we were able to show our vision, and in parts create that vision, there were certain parts of the forum and request backend that we couldn't put together with the lack of time. This was the first time anyone in our team had ever created a backend. We were all front-end/no experience developers before this.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of the front end we were able to create and display, and the amount of progress and vision we were able to reach with our backend.
What we learned
We learned entirely about how to use Xampp, mysql, apache, php for database and server development. We also became much more familiar with React Js.
What's next for ZXJ Support
With a little more time, we will be able to fully flesh out our entire backend have a fully usable product without any hiccups.
