ZotStudy is a web application that helps UCI students discover, create, and join study sessions with other students taking the same courses.

Whether you're preparing for a midterm, working through homework, or looking for a study group, ZotStudy makes it easier to connect with classmates and collaborate.

💻 Getting Started

1. Clone the repository

git clone https://github.com/anthonymchen/ZotHacks2026.git
cd ZotHacks2026

2. Install dependencies

npm install

3. Configure Firebase

Create a .env file in the project root and add the Firebase configuration values required by the app. Obtain these values from the project's Firebase administrator.

4. Start the development server

npm run dev

Open the local URL shown in your terminal to view the application.

  1. Search: Enter your course, such as MATH 2A, to discover relevant sessions.
  2. Explore: Browse live and upcoming study sessions.
  3. Filter: Narrow results by location, study style, or professor.
  4. Join: Choose a session and join other students.
  5. Create: Host your own session and invite classmates to study together.
