Inspiration
Inspired by apps like UberEats and TicketMaster.
What it does
Allows users to create and view events created by other users, some categories include Hackathons, study groups, networking, and social.
How we built it
We made the front end with React and use Firebase for the back end for user Auth and data storage.
Challenges we ran into
Integrating the backend with the frontend after hours of work and messy files was a rough task. Additionally, we didn't sleep much (4:37 A.M. as of writing this).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of everything that we learned from the project, for example, us using leaflet to create and make the map interactable with the user.
What we learned
Some of us were complete beginners when using react, so we learned a lot of how react functions and its parallels to vanilla JavaScript.
What's next for Zot Connect
An app that can be expanded into more communities, in order to interlink with a greater connection.
