Inspiration
After two semesters of online school, we face many problems. One of which was dealing with a plethora of Zoom lecture/lab/tutorials links for every class and meeting. We created Zoomer as a solution to this dilemma.
What it does
Zoomer lets you know when your next meeting is. Add your Zoom links to a weekly schedule and the application will notify you when your meeting is coming up. More importantly, you can set your Name, meeting Passcode, then open the Zoom application with ONE shortcut button.
How we built it
The application is built using Electron framework with Node.js. The User Interface is built with the Election module and HTML/CSS. The Logic is programmed in JavaScript.
Challenges we ran into
We spent quite some time brainstorming ideas, deciding on which challenge to undertake. We discussed about making a game but could not come up with a fitting idea. Then, we explored the second topic, which led to the idea of Zoomer. While developing the application, most of our members have limited experience with HTML/CSS, making progress a bit slow in the beginning. However, once we have gotten used to it, development went very smoothly.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to sharpen HTML/CSS and JavaSccript, which will be very useful when we work on similar projects in the future
What's next for Zoomer
