Inspiration

We wanted to make a basic website to improve our web development skills and during the brainstorming project we realized that we are all passionate about endangered animals. We were also inspired by 1990s websites and their aesthetics and we wanted to incorporate that into our project.

What it does

Educates people on endangered animals in a compelling and engaging way.

How we built it

We used plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This allowed us to design experiences that closely emulated the simplicity and visuals of the early internet.

Challenges we ran into

Some of us had to learn GitHub for the first time and there were some difficulties pushing and pulling code.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are so proud to finish a project. We have not done many projects before. The scope that we chose felt impressive since we are freshmen beginner hackers.

What we learned

We learned how to use GitHub, code basic websites, and work efficiently as a team.

What's next for Zoo Toonz

We would like to see more animals, more effects, and more music. The website should go in a direction where it is fun and effective for the cause we are aiming for.
