Inspiration
My love for animals and education inspired me to create Zoo Match & Find, a virtual zoo adventure game. I wanted to design an interactive experience that would teach children and adults alike about diverse wildlife environments while having fun.
What it does
Zoo Match & Find is a matching card game where players match realistic animal cards to earn points. The game also features a maze scavenger hunt, where players navigate through a virtual zoo environment to find hidden animals and collect points.
How we built it
To build Zoo Match & Find, I:
- Designed the game concept and mechanics.
- Created realistic animal cards and environments using design software.
- Built the game architecture using programming languages.
- Tested and refined the game based on feedback from testers.
Challenges we ran into
During development, I encountered:
- Balancing education and entertainment
- Optimizing performance for seamless gameplay for mobile devices.
- Designing for accessibility to ensure inclusivity for players with different abilities and ages.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Creating an engaging and educational game that teaches players about diverse wildlife environments.
- Developing a game that is accessible and enjoyable for players of various ages and skill levels.
- Successfully monetizing the game and generating revenue for approximately 3 years.
What we learned
Throughout this project, I learned about:
- Game development principles.
- Designing for diverse audiences.
- Virtual environment creation.
- Importance of testing and refinement.
- Teamwork makes the dream work.
What's next for ZOO MATCH & FIND
- Continuing to update and expand the game with new features and content.
