Zoints

Inspiration

In 2003 we created one of the largest online communities in the world that had a centralized point system. In 2005 we tried to decentralize the community and its point system but ran into technical hurdles because Satoshi hadn't yet invented Bitcoin. We always liked the idea but it wasn't until Solana came along that our original vision became viable.

What it does

Zoints is a social and community network where the Creators and communities may receive recurring income via split staking rewards when users subscribe (stake) with them. NFT projects will value our platform as we have a "My NFTs" gallery that lets you set your NFT as a verified avatar, excellent community functionality, and NFT gating coming soon.

Challenges we ran into

Getting the model right. We pivoted multiple times away from social / community tokens / DAOs and then NFT-centric to our current model which we believe is scalable and can onboard hundreds of millions of users.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Everything. Zoints is badass.

What we learned

Rust, Solana, patience. Actually, probably not patience.

What's next for Zoints
