Inspiration

The inception of "ZK-Casino" was fueled by the ambition to infuse trust and transparency into the online gambling industry. Our team of 2, comprised of 2 blockchain enthusiasts, observed a gap in the market for a platform that could offer a secure, fair, and enjoyable gaming experience. Inspired by the capabilities of zero-knowledge proof technology, we envisioned a roulette where every player could enjoy their favorite game without worrying about the fairness of the outcomes or the safety of their funds.

What it does

"ZK-Casino" is a gaming platform that leverages zero-knowledge proof (ZKP) technology to ensure absolute fairness and privacy. Our platform offers a roulette game all running on a blockchain-based system. The integration with Puzzle Wallet enables players to buy, deposit, and withdraw tokens seamlessly, enhancing the overall user experience. This setup allows players to place bets in the games, like roulette, with complete transparency and security.

How we built it

Our journey in building "ZK-Casino" was rooted in the Aleo blockchain, leveraging Leo for smart contract development. The integration of Puzzle Wallet was a strategic move to streamline token transactions, making the process user-friendly and secure. We focused on creating intuitive game interfaces, robust payment systems, and ensuring the solidity of our smart contracts through testing.

Challenges we ran into

A significant challenge was ensuring the randomness of game outcomes within the blockchain's deterministic framework. We tackled this by incorporating Leo language's random number generator. Also, to implement the a new wallet connection was very challenging for us because we tried it for the first time in Aleo. We overcame this through Puzzle SDK.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our proudest achievement is the successful integration of Puzzle Wallet with "ZK-Casino," providing a seamless transaction experience for our users. We are also proud of our platform's easy usage and UI.

What we learned

This project deepened our understanding of applying ZKP in practical scenarios, specifically in online gaming. We gained insights into the complexities of blockchain gaming, the nuances of ensuring transparent and fair gameplay, and the critical role of user experience. Our skills in blockchain application development, especially in secure smart contract coding, have been significantly honed.

What's next for ZK-Casino

The future roadmap for "ZK-Casino" includes diversifying our game portfolio, adding multiplayer and competitive features, and forming strategic alliances with established online casinos. We aspire to transition towards a decentralized governance model, giving our community a voice in shaping the platform. Ongoing research into advanced ZKP implementations and blockchain advancements remains our commitment to keep "ZK-Casino" at the forefront of the secure online gambling industry.
