Inspiration
ZipRecruiter already is doing awesome things with their bot, Phil. But as a team, we recognized that job seeking is hard, and keeping engaged is difficult. Enter ZipAssist.
What it does
We built on ZipRecruiter's existing progress tracking to include skills assessment, a way to directly contact an address that a company could provide, and a SMS based reminder system.
How I built it
We built the majority of the project in JS, using an additional API written in Clojure as a mock of data that could be provided by ZipRecruiter or any other job-seeker platform.
Challenges I ran into
The online job market is expanding _ very _ fast. Finding the most specific ways to be both relevant and unique is hard!
Accomplishments
We felt that our services all tied in well together, and provide a viable direction to extend ZipRecruiter's current platform.
