Zion Church

Inspiration

As a frequent church goer, Im usually disturbed by many announcements every after mass/service, poor donation channels where we have to send donations to a particular phone number. So I built zionchurch.site

What it does

It's a web app I'm building that enables churches management themselves digitally by publishing announcements, collecting donations, setting fundraisers, capturing emails for membership.

How we built it

I am building it using GPT 5.6 Terra Only. The backend is going to be Convex(convex.dev), App hosted on Vercel, VSCode as the code editor and github.

Challenges we ran into

Time. I signed up for the hackathon a few hours to the closure so I have not had adequate time though I am continuing to build on the project even after submission.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of getting a beautiful landing page from GPT 5.6 Terra with out 5 prompts and it fully does what I exactly need.

What we learned

Being my first hackathon, I've learnt that hacakthons actually survive on good time management because im panicking trying to progress on the last day on top of having to go for internship from 6am to 6pm at the same time

What's next for Zion Church

Within a few weeks, I want to market Xion Church and make it the go to platform for any Church in Uganda to manage it's entire church activities
